POP GOES ART AT D+H CONTEMPORARY
BY ArtCoWo Press © 6 - 17 - 17
The "Pop Goes Art" exhibit at D+H Contemporary explores Pop-Art in today's art climate. This informative exhibit begins with an opening reception, June 17th, 2017 from 7 to 9 PM. It will run for two weeks until June 30th.
Recognizing the innovators such as Warhol, Lichtenstein, Ruscha, Jasper Johns, Grisha Bruskin, Eric Bulatov, Vitaly Komar, Alexander Kosolapov and more, this exhibit seeks to define what pop art is in 2017. Using a variety of mediums including computers as a new driving force of this art form, as well as foam, paper and anything an artist can get his hands on.
Can Pop-Art now shake the very foundation of social commentary that dominates media, politics and culture? What are the borders that define Pop-Art, can that include street art and other less strict definitions in art, etc..?
Artists participating in this show include, True Delorenzo, John Ruby, ISz, J.Hinos, Shawn M. King, Delgato, Peter Marcus Green, Cam Wam and many more.
