ART COLLECTOR WORLD : Fredenthal - White Water - Woodmere Museum ![]() Robinson Fredenthal's magestic sculpture "White Water" is displayed prominently on the Woodmere Art Museum grounds. This magnificent sculpture is multi-demensional. Each side displays a different view-point and the observer has to walk around this giant just to take in the full weight of its grandeur. This piece lifts up the mostly suburban area of Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia. It echos light on to the streets and surrounding houses. This may well be one Fredenthals greatest work as it has all the moments of a real powerhouse. The piece is just massive. One feels like what it would have been like confronting a T-Rex. However, this piece is much more elegant than any dinosaur. This work of art is sleek and brilliant and gives the viewer a thrill ride in its complexity yet understated quality. Woodmere Museum is known for showcasing local artists versus only Blue Chip art. Most of their exhibitions feel like a local gallery but on a much larger scale. ![]() BY ACW ART COLLECTOR WORLD PRESS © ACW |
