CELEBRITY ARTISTS BY ArtCoWo Press © 9 - 20 - 15 Celebrity Artists are more common than household detergent these days. It seems that everyone including famous actors want to show their creative side in the realm of painting. Some of these artists tend to be a bit more legitimate because they were artists before their career in acting took off. Sylvester Stallone, the Italian stallion, is actually quite good. His work has abstract expressionist motifs combing his visage with the work along with some completely abstract pieces. He is no stranger to making art and you can see his years of experience. Other artists that have dabbled with the arts are the late Patrick McGoohan, Jim Carey, Richard Grieco, Andy Dick, Lucy Lu, James Franco, the Home Alone kid all grown up, Snoop Dog, and so on. The list goes on. In some instances there have been marketing ploys be these artists such as Shia LaBeouf, who have acted performance art in which he was supposedly taken advantage of. Some of these artists automatically get into galleries skipping the line because of their super-celebrity status. Is it fair? No, but life isn't fair. They have become famous some how and now they are milking it right in front of the starving artists who struggle to buy paint every week. Love them or hate them, some of these artists are actually very talented, but we will let you decide who you think has real potential in the fine art sector. For now, we will continue to report on them as well as the emerging artist who can't afford to pay their electric bill. |
