WALK THIS WAY - THE STUART WEITZMAN COLLECTION
MICHENER MUSEUM - DOYLESTOWN,PA - 1 . 2 . 24

Stuart Weitzman has been collecting shoes for over thirty years. In this exhibit the spectator gets thrown into 100 pairs of shoes that Stuart has graciously been preserving for future generations of shoe lovers. The New York Historical Society, and of course Stuart and his wife Jane Gershon Weitzman is responsible for putting on the extensive exhibit.

I am not gonna lie, I love shoes and this show was a real treat for me. There is even a pair of satin shoes dating back to the year 1838 in the exhibit. The exhibits focus is that shoes are not just about going from point A to point B. Instead they include cultural implications and that fashion is not necessarily at the forefront but more a tool to achieve the end result; "Feminity,Power and Aspiration."

CYBERTRUCK AND BEYOND
TESLA - 4 . 8 . 24

The Tesla Cybertruck broke the mold. The design is so cutting edge the competition has stalled. The current automotive design trend, in 2024, thought the future lied in curves. Tesla changed that with the advent of the Cybertruck in 2020. I once had a friend in the 80's that said that all the cars in the future would look the same as they all lean towards curves. He was right. Musk and his team led by Franz von Holzhausen continue to push the envelope, from autonomous driving to full fledged robots. We managed to catch up with a Cybertruck in the wild. It was quite the stunner and had drawn a sizable audience.

Take the Tesla Bot for instance, it was designed to alleviate remedial tasks but has taken on a life of it's own. Resembling more of an android than a robot, this design is also extremely cutting edge for the field of robotics. There are of course still hurdles for this robot and all of robotics, but this new direction has Tesla leading the pack. Musk is a visionary who has pulled us into the future. He took electric cars and made them a staple of everyday driving. He forced other auto-makers to step up their game or be left behind.

Musk has also dipped his foot in the Neo-Space Race making breakthoughs in Space Travel. Building tunnels underground, creating a neurotechnology company, and all the while creating state-of-the-art futuristic cars and Robotaxis, means there is nothing stopping Musk's creativity and drive. China has recently removed restrictions on Tesla allowing "Full Self Driving" to soon be in effect. The Cybertruck is the pinnacle of Elon's unstoppable nature. The reality is that Tesla is much more than a car company, it is essentially an AI and chip maker corporation. Cars are where Tesla makes its bread and butter but I do not think it centers around automobiles. It's focus is altering our perception of what is possible.
