 BOOK OF RAIN : BLUE MCRIGHT AT STURT HAAGA GALLERY Blue McRight made waves at her recent exhibit at the Sturt Haaga Gallery in La Canada Flintridge. The gallery is in the most oddest and surprisingly fun locations in California, The Descanso Gardens. A small little exibitiion space is used to it's fullest potential with quality art. Blue McRight took the prize with her piece entitled "Font." A dream-like conceptual piece that marries two thoughts for discussion. First, we have the faucets and hoses that represents water and the lack-there-of in California. The second, is the books, does the answer lie inside books or our own ways of discovering the truth? The truth of saving ourselves from this drought. We are the guides for the impending future. Our children depend on us. For prosperity, we need to find the answers for California or it will become a desert wasteland. This work speaks to everyone in the room. Art can be a vehicle for change. Blue McRight has proven this right here before our eyes.
